While driving up Snelling Ave. today Ang and the kids came to a red light. A man was standing with a sign clearly wanting money..the sign said, "Anything helps."
Leah asked, "What does that man's sign say mom?"
Ang, "He is asking people to give him money. He must not have very much."
10 seconds of silence when Ang thinks they have ended that conversation due to the silence.
Leah, "Shouldn't we go give him some money?"
Ang, "Well, we could but since we are not really close to him (they were three lanes from median where he was standing) it would be tricky to give him money right now."
Leah, "I think God would want us to give him some. Maybe you should just pull over and park on the side of the road and we can walk it over to him."
Ang did not give him money but vowed to do what one of Grandpa Craig's friends is doing and go buy McDonalds gift certificates to start handing out to people on corners with signs.
